Miraculously endorsed by both the Obama and McCain campaigns, this video features just about every other famous person in Hollywood urging people to vote by telling them not to vote. Perhaps a little over-earnest at times, but hilarious and worth watching. Especially if you can vote and aren't planning to...

To pay tribute to Paul Newman in the wake of his passing yesterday at the age of 83, here is a scene from my favorite film of his, Robert Rossen's classic 1961 pool drama The Hustler.

Tina Fey made a return appearance to Saturday Night Live for its season opener last night, and perfectly imitated/skewered Sarah Palin in a skit in which Palin and Hillary Clinton (Amy Poehler) deliver a speech together. Brilliance!

BREAKING: Matt Damon and I are apparently the same person because he's speaking my thoughts! Conservatives beware.

I have a love for outrageous political statements, and I don't think that anyone is going to go to an Oliver Stone movie about George W. Bush looking for the facts. But putting that aside, W is beginning to look like a legitimately great movie instead of the great bad movie I was expecting. First, there was the impressive trailer, and now comes this clip in which George (Josh Brolin) meets Laura (Elizabeth Banks). If I wasn't sold before, I certainly am now.

If you thought the "I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!" parodies and references had been repeated ad nauseum to the point of total humor deprivation...well, you probably have a point. But in the Internet world, there's always room for one more great parody, and this one by Brandon Hardesty is probably the best I've seen. He re-enacts a portion of the closing scene from There Will Be Blood, doing absolute dead-on impersonations of Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano.
This video was featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live back in February, along with Hardesty's parodies of the other Best Picture nominees. Hardesty in general is incredibly talented and funny, so for more information on him, not to mention the rest of his videos, be sure to check out his website.

No matter how many people rave about The Dark Knight, one complaint I keep hearing is a hold-over from Batman Begins: Christian Bale's Batvoice sucks. Personally, I've never had a problem with it. It's guturral, it's weird, it's a cock-eyed Clint Eastwood impersonation; all of those things are true, yes, but think about it for a second. If you were Bruce Wayne, one of the most recognizable people in the whole of the United States of America, wouldn't you want to disguise your voice? Secondly, and more importantly, if you were about to perpetrate some crime, wouldn't that scare the hell out of you?!
Anyway. To the point. This is a parody of the interrogation scene in the film (my favorite part), where the Joker can't understand a damn thing BatBale is saying. The same guy plays both Batman and the Joker, and while he doesn't sound very much like Heath Ledger's Joker (I don't think he was neccessarily trying to), he gets the mannerisms down perfectly. Massive props.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, from the wonderfully bizarre mind of Joss Whedon, is the year's best movie...and it's on your computer. Clocking in at a swift 42 minutes, it's, y'know, your average supervillain musical: Dr. Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris) is a low-rent supervillain in love with Penny (Felicia Day, whom I met at this year's San Diego Comic-Con; I can indeed confirm that she is just as super nice and super pretty as she appears here), the girl he always sees at the laundromat. But when his nemesis, jackass superhero Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion), rescues Penny and she falls in love with him, things turn sour for the Doc. Plus did I mention it was a musical? Watch it. Now.
For some reason, the Hulu video won't play anywhere it's embedded except for the Hulu website, so go here to watch it. You can also buy it for $3.99 if you've got iTunes, plus it'll be on DVD at some point soon. In the meantime, I've embedded the film's first musical number, "My Freeze Ray." Have fun.
